The Sundarbans is a vast area which consists of ground-level islands in the Bay of Bengal, spread across India & Bangladesh. It is situated in the state of West Bengal, in India & claims to be the largest & active delta region in India. Not only that, this outstanding delta region stands among the largest in the world, comprising of 40,000 sq km of the whole area. The Sundarbans Delta is also known as Brahmaputra Delta or the Bengal Delta.
